Otto Kittleson

Our Otto was a very special pup. When we adopted him we had the choice between him or his brother but were told if we wanted a dog who would stick by our sides he was the one. That could not have been more true. Even when he was no longer able to walk by himself he would bark at us to carry him over to be close to us.

Otto’s positive attitude and love of life never faltered, the twinkle in his eye never faded and his love for his family, especially baby Islay, never changed. (Two days before his passing) we went to his favourite place in the world, St. Mary’s reservoir. There, with the help of his wheelchair, we walked and explored and watched the sunset. That night, even though he was exhausted, he slept beside the bed and at the foot of the cradle as always. (A couple days later) an emergency trip to the vet diagnosed an infection that he just didn’t have the stamina to heal from. With kisses for Islay and a few last ear scratches, it was his time.

A huge thank you to the beautiful ladies at Canine Aquafitness who made Otto’s last months amazing not only with his wheelchair but with all their love and care. There will never be another pup quite like our boy and we will always miss him.
